Making your own PCBs!
Saturday, 22 September 2012 from 12:00 to 18:00 (BST)
Brighton, United Kingdom
Do you mess about with electronics projects? Does every project have a tangle of wires sitting on a breadboard, or a mass of blobbed solder on the back of some stripboard? Would you like your projects to look just a little bit more professional? If so, you need to be making your own printed circuit boards - in short, homebrew PCBs!
In this workshop, we'll take you from circuit schematics to laying out your PCB, to printing, transferring, and etching your designs onto copper board. You can bring along a ready-laid-out PCB design straight from the web (if you want to make something shared by another hackspace for example)
This workshop is for people with previous electronics experience looking to move beyond the basic prototyping stage. This is ideal for anyone who has built a project using breadboard or stripboard and wants to make a more permanent version using a PCB. All tools and equipment will be provided. Please don't wear your best clothes as it can get a bit messy!
When & Where
Build Brighton Hackspace
We have a 1300 sqft warehouse that members can use 24x7 to realise their designs, and socialise with like-minded folk.
We are a not-for-profit community and all subscriptions go towards paying for the space and providing equipment, amenities and assets for the group.
